Stress Engineer

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Stress Engineer (f/m) to join our STC*(Supplemental Type Certificate) Solutions Programme / Customer Services based in Toulouse, France. 

We deliver Cabin and Cabin Systems upgrade solutions (SB*, ICA* and kits) certified through Airbus STC, to airlines and lessors for the modification of their in-service aircraft, through our dedicated: Team, Processes, Suppliers and Means (dedicated Kit Factory).

Integrated in the STC Solutions Programme Airworthiness and Technical Validation team, our Stress and Flammability Engineer is a bridge between the Engineering Departments and the Certification Engineers in order to ensure the demonstration of compliance to the developed design solutions.

Your challenges: 

Integrated to Multi-Functional Teams addressing Cabin Systems upgrades projects on various programs (SA, LR, DD, WB, XWB), the Job

Holder is responsible for following missions:

• Authoring substantiation reports for cabin retrofit according to time, cost and quality requirements

• Check external stress document (Vendors)

• Providing technical expertise to design reviews from stress structure point of view

• Ensuring the safety of Airbus STC Solutions, especially with respect to ATA 53 and ATA25 . (Monument installation)

• Participate to continued airworthiness: substantiation of Technical adaptation linked to SRS STC

• Interface with external stakeholders (Other Airbus department)

Required hard skills

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience

• Educated to Master level (or equivalent) in aeronautical Engineering,

• Airbus aircraft general knowledge,

• Experience in stress cabin installation is a plus.

• Experience in stress Aircraft structure 

• Knowledge of Airbus method and tool (Isami, Hyperworks, Nastran)

• Knowledge in General Regulation Requirements - CS25,

• Excellent practice of English, both written and spoken,

This role may involve some occasional worldwide travels for business. (Not more 3 times a years)

Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons. (Not more 6 times a year)
